So you're interested in getting your feet wet, but you're not sure where to start. That's 100% understandable and we're here to help.

We know this can feel daunting, so first, CONGRATULATIONS! It's awesome that you took this first step and we're really excited about where this step will lead you (and us!).

The first thing to do is to meet Quench Tools. This is the web platform within which you can play with the data. And we'll provide lots of suggestions and ideas on how you can do this. To enter Quench Tools, click here. In the pull-down menu in the upper-left, choose 'Quench'. Then in the upper right, click on 'Create Dashboard'. Call this dashboard 'Tutorial'. This will launch the Quench Tools tutorial, which will lead you through how to navigate tools.

Also, check out this discussion thread about the Quench Tools tutorial, including a link to the GZ Google Hangout and blog post about Tools.

If you have any trouble with the Quench Tools tutorial, definitely post your questions here and we'll do our best to quickly follow up and give help. In your post, it'd be great if you shared your Dashboard with us so we can know best how to help. Check out this post about how to share your dashboard.

The next thing to try in Quench Tools is to play with the results from the classifications of our post-quenched galaxy sample and control sample. Check out this post for a good starting point for that.

At this point, you may be ready to jump in and explore on your own. But if you'd like a little more guidance, check out this post. Also, check out these threads (here and here) which provide great examples of how some Zooites are starting to play with the data and answer questions about what caused star formation to quench in these galaxies.

Finally, for additional advice and first steps on how to approach this data analysis phase, click here.

    Happy first steps!
