Downloading data from Tools onto your own computer

    Dear all,

You asked and the Zooniverse programmers have delivered, once again!

A number of you have requested the ability to download the data from Tools onto your own computer. You can do this by following these steps:

    1. Create a dashboard
    2. Click on the 'Data' tab in the upper left.
    3. Click on the 'Quench' tab which appears above the 'Data' tab.
    4. Click on 'Quench Sample'
    5. Click on the comb symbol in the upper right.
    6. Click on 'Download data'.
    7. This creates a .csv (a text file) called navigator_data.csv. You can then read this table into any program on your computer.

For our Quench project, right now both the post-quenched galaxy sample and the control sample information is available (minus results from the classifications, which are at 70% complete as of the writing of this post).

    Very cool! 😄

What about the other way? Is it possible to upload data in a .csv file, from one's own computer, to a GZ Tools dashboard?

At the moment, no, I believe it's not possible to upload data into Tools. But that is a goal that's been talked about and there are good ideas on how to make it work. It'll just take some time to build in. I'll definitely post to announce it.
