Suggestion: a "Just Chat" thread/discussion?

This is not, strictly speaking, a "Site Issue".
Rather, it's a random thought ... Quench is unique in that it'll be going beyond zooites classifying; we'll all be actively involved in the process of reducing and analyzing the data, coming to conclusions, writing up a paper, ... Yes, that will be heavy at times, and we'll have a chance to climb a very steep learning curve (except for the "SCIENTIST"s, of course).
But aren't we also a community? Don't we also sometimes stop classifying/reading/crunching/analyzing/... and enjoy each other's company? Maybe if we had something like a 'Just Chat' thread, we could build a stronger community?
What do you think?

Great idea. Check out http://quenchtalk.galaxyzoo.org/#/boards/BGS000000c.

I started a board on Chat earlier today for the same thing, at planetfour there's a loose distinction between discussing a object/image in the "science board" where we try and do serious techie type stuff and on the "chat board" which tends to be where stuff which is off the main topic of the project gets posted, lots of faces and odd shapes and so on and is also where some of the more speculative/fanciful ideas get knocked around. So the first post I put up there is a "I found this, anyone any idea what it means?" type of thing, idea being to get people to post their ideas and queries without being intimidated by posting on a SCIENCE thread which is kinda scary for some.

This raises the question of whether it makes sense to consider re-structuring Quench Talk during each
phasestage transition. In Stage 1, Classification, such a loose distinction hardly seemed to matter, not least as questions and discussions on objects are in Help, Science, and Chat, and they're all pretty much the same.
In Stage 2, Data Analysis and Discussion, the focus is on the serious techie type stuff, and individual objects of interest primarily as exemplars or outliers. Restructuring by stage would then, perhaps, require consolidating all "Object" threads into a single board.
In Stage 3, Writing the Professional Journal Article, the focus will shift again, and we'll no doubt be getting deep into formats, placement of Figures, chasing down references, and ordinary zooites will get a crash course on 'how to write like a scientist' 😛
