Galaxy Zoo Starburst Talk
I'm not good at recognizing them, but I am pretty sure below the central object is a #greenpea
Seems to be a #quasar according to NED
Also, #blueclumps
likely a #pair of galaxies
When classifying, always do so for the central object. The other objects are likely also in the survey and need to be classified elsewhere.
These are likely optical artifacts, resulting from the different pictures not being perfectly aligned.
Disc with a population of young stars, especially in the upper right part.
It's a #spiral seen from a low angle

A tightly wound arm, not quite a ring imo.
The objects seem to be companions, but there is no sign of merging happening here.
Quite #disturbed I would assume.
NED suggests that the three objects are indeed very close to each other, with quite similar redshifts.
A cooling down #AGN maybe?
#disturbed
likely caused by the galaxy in the lower part of the picture, nothing much else around
Apparently this is catalogized as a #galaxypair , as can be seen on NED.
So this is actually two galaxies close to each other.
I would go for overlap, likely a foreground star
#blue
Apparently #merging with its smaller close-by #companions
#merger #tidaldebris
Seems to be merging with its smaller companion. Both seem to be almost edge-on discs.
Seems to be an almost edge-on disc with a majority of young stars.
off-center #brightclump
#edge-on with young stars in the outer areas of the galaxy.
#foregroundstar
I assume you would not see very much, it seems to be a #blueelliptical
#tidaldebris and likely #merging with the spiral in the lower left, NED suggests that they aren't too far apart from each other.
very active #starformation in the arms beautiful find
Not so sure, but I think I can distinguish #spiral arms here. Possibly a bar feature.
The specific term for this would be #merger Nice find!
Blurry #spiral with possibly a bar feature, not so sure about that though.
This could be a #forming #spiral !
NED tells me that this galaxy is moving at a velocity greater than 10% the speed of light, it is unlikely that the light is blueshifted.
including a #bar feature
A spiral with very loose arms, the light is more energetic towards the outer areas of the galaxy. Likely active star formation in the arms.
Seems to be a #starforming #irregular galaxy.
#starforming #violet
