Blue galaxy

  What is the blue smoke like object that is above and to the right of the elliptical galaxy? Is it a remnant of a galaxy?

  Yes, it could be ... or it could be an irregular galaxy, much closer to us (and unrelated to the elliptical). It could also be a Voorwerp, a.k.a. #EELR (extended emission line region) a.k.a. #AGNcloud
