Ram Pressure Stripping

  This looks like tidal debris yet i see nothing near that would cause it. The 'trails' seem to be flowing in one general direction. Could RPS be responsible?

  There's a very bright star not too far away, which may be at least partly responsible for the faintest apparent features (and the blocky appearance of some of the nearby objects, and their color imbalances too?). Then there's 'cosmic cruel jokes': the 'disruptor' galaxy is, by chance, behind the nucleus!
