Galaxy Zoo Starburst Talk
#ring
Actually it looks like a two armed spiral galaxy with the arms forming loops.
#asteroid
#merger
#edgeon
#cluster
Nice #spiral.
Maybe nuclear ring as well.
#merger #tidaldebris
Looks like #starburst.
Could be a merger or some tidal debris.
And we have a #cluster. 😃
Could be a tidal arm.
That's a galaxy in case anyone wonders.
Indeed a #merger.
Looks like a #merger with a #dustlane.
Maybe #AGN.
There could be some interaction between those two.
#tidaldebris
Looks like a spiral with a possible dustlane.
#lenticular #s0 #Zwicky
Looks like a #starforming #spiral with an #asteroid at 5 o'clock.
Looks like an #edgeon to me. And there's some interaction with the bottom galaxy.
According to the redshift they're close together, although there seems to be no interaction. The bottom one is #IC_3020.
#disturbed #spiral
#Seyfert1 #AGN
There's obviously an arc on the bottom. Maybe an old companion galaxy that got too close and then got ripped apart due to the interaction?
#AGN
Could be a spiral arm or tidal debris.
Looks more like an overlap (to me) as the bottom half is different from the upper half of the "elliptical" in the background.
Maybe the small one is the companion of the bigger one.
Looks like there's some sort of gravitational interaction. Possibly future merger.
Looks like a #foregroundstar to me.
Here's a nice find. A #Seyfert1 galaxy and a #white_dwarf.
#artifact. Satellite trail or diffraction spike.
Actually looks like there are three equal length spiral arms to me.
Same image.
As far as I know, Irr means Irregular and this one looks like that IMHO.
Nice two armed #spiral
#UZC_J140733.5+071040 as in a Zwicky Galaxy.
No previous comments? #NGC_4607 #dustlane #starforming #edgeon #starforming #spiral. Hope I covered everything.
#starforming
#RadioS
There could be some merging or an overlap.
Looks like a #merger.
#edgeon #spiral
Could be a merger or tidal debris.
Looks like there are two loose spiral arms.
It is in fact a star. The fuzzyness is due to the bad quality of the image.
#UGC_7033
Interesting looking merger.
Kinda hard to classify due to the artifacts.
No that looks indeed like a merger.
#starburst
Could be an overlap.
It's spectrum says QSO and SIMBAD notes a Radio Source.
You have that impression too? Would be nice if it is.
Another great #merger.
#merger with #tidaldebris
Overlap or merger? I'd go with overlap.Or a cool polar ring but that's a little far fetched.
Nice spiral.
Looks like an arc but it's probably not due to lensing but a disturbed spiral.
#EdgeOnSpiral or #Eos if you prefer. 😛
It doesn't look symmetrical to me.
#MCG+03-36-054 #starburst
#disturbed
#starburst. What does Extended Src mean?
This one's nice. #PGC_035277 Sc(f)
This one's particularly bright.
Perhaps late stage merger?
There could be some interaction between those two, as there appear to be some tidal debris. ( The small one pliers through the big one?)
#NGC_4157
Looks #disturbed
#tidaldebris and possibly merger.
I'd say #merger as well.
Looks like a #dustlane.
Doesn't look like there is gravitational interaction so I'd go with overlap.
